Our Teachers

Chloe Goddard

Chloe fell in love with Yoga and meditation when on a retreat in Spain. After feeling the immense benefits of the practises she commented to the teacher, “if everyone started the day like this, there would be world peace.” – That was 14 years ago! Outside of sharing these practises, Chloe enjoys spending time in nature and learning about herbalism, hobby-level climbing and running, and above all, hanging out with her dog Nacho who you may well meet at the studio from time to time.

I began my yoga journey in Senegal, taking time for myself and moving in the early mornings before the village would wake up. Witnessing the benefits this practice brought to my mind, body, and soul inspired me to go deeper, leading me to complete a 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in France in 2020. Alongside this, I explored the power of breath and resilience through an initiation into cold exposure and breathwork practices. Since 2023, I have continued to expand my understanding of asanas by studying anatomy and neuroscience, focusing on how neurology connects to the physical practice of yoga and how this knowledge can support students in their own journeys.

For me, yoga is a space to explore movement in unexpected ways, a playground where I can fall, experiment, and allow emotions to rise and pass. It is a practice that continually brings me back to my authentic self.

I’m passionate about supporting children’s wellbeing through yoga and mindfulness. When I was younger, I sometimes found it hard to manage my emotions and feel calm, especially at school. Discovering yoga and mindfulness really helped me find balance, confidence, and peace within myself.

Now, I love sharing these practices with children in a fun and nurturing way — through movement, breath, stillness, and imagination. My sessions are all about helping children feel grounded, connected, and confident, while learning simple tools they can use in everyday life.

Qualifications:

  • Children’s yoga and mindfulness 50hr YTT

Over the years I have developed a deep appreciation for the positive benefits yoga has on both the mind and body. My intention is to share that experience through my classes – creating a space where students can fully relax, reconnect with their bodies and tune into the present moment. While my classes are calming and grounding, I also include moments of strength through longer holds, helping students discover their inner strength in a safe and encouraging environment.

Whether you are new to yoga or would like to deepen your practice you are so welcome, just as you are.

Looking forward to seeing you in class!

Qualifications:

  • 200-HR-YTT

My love for yoga began during lockdown, when life slowed down for all of us. I found myself needing to channel my energy into something deeper than just another workout (and there were a lot of those happening in my mum’s living room!). One day I swapped my usual HIIT videos for an online yoga class and something clicked. I felt a new kind of connection to my body and mind and from there my yoga journey really began.

Over time I explored different styles, but I always found myself coming back to Ashtanga yoga. I love the discipline and structure of the practice and the way it leaves me in a state of pure bliss and contentment afterwards. I’ve been deepening my practice ever since and in early 2024 I travelled to India to begin my formal training.

Ashtanga has brought so many benefits into my life, from improved strength and flexibility to emotional balance and overall wellbeing and it’s a practice I truly believe everyone can benefit from.

I’m so excited to share it with you!

Qualifications:

  • 200 hours of Ashtanga & Vinyasa Flow

I feel grateful to have trained with Sarah Harlow and her amazing teachers at Yogasara in Bristol and also to experience and deepen my learning of Hatha yoga in Rishikesh. India. I am diligent to honour and combine these traditional teachings alongside the latest modern scientific knowledge. The mat has become a real sanctuary to me, a blank canvas to return to with self love, learning to accept what is, to listen, to feel and create. I try only to facilitate classes with what I have embodied in my heart through the traditional teachings and latest science, expressed through movement, breath, somatic awareness and universal love. Sat Chit Amanda.

Fynn McCarthy-Driver

Hi, I’m Fynn and my passion is supporting people on their journey out of pain, stress, and tension and guiding them back into a thriving, balanced state. I believe our bodies hold incredible intelligence and when given the right conditions they naturally know how to heal, release, and return to harmony. Through breathwork, coaching, yoga, and massage I help people let go of what’s holding them back and reconnect with themselves so they can feel their best again.

My own path into wellness began through a personal relationship with grief and pain, growing up with a sister with a terminal illness deeply shaped my understanding of the body, compassion, and the importance of finding natural ways to ease stress and tension. I love movement, travel, music, and dance and I’m happiest on the dance floor at a festival or watching the sunset on a beach overseas. I’d love for you to join me for a session at Intra- and experience for yourself the transformative power of breathwork.

Abby McDougall

I’ve been practicing yoga for over 10 years and studying at Yogasara, Bristol since 2022, about to complete the advanced training in early 2026. I’ve taught at Bristol University, Yogasara, online and in person at yoga studios and in Greece. I’ve undertaken many trainings in trauma and have a trauma- informed approach to teaching yoga. I’ve also undertaken significant study into transpersonal theory: spirituality, psychology and Non-Violent Communication.

I practise meditation daily under Will Evans, who takes Advaita Vedanta, Non- dual Shaiva Tantra and Buddhist non-dual approaches. The Yogasara method that I studied under comprises asana (posture) practice in a Krama Vinyasana style (krama meaning step-by-step and Vinyasa being a flow state within postural practice), as well as the other integral aspects of yoga and ritual: meditation, breathwork, study of Western and Eastern philosophy, mantra, conscious dance, science (anatomy, neuroscience, Myofascial Integration), emotional integration and awareness of wider ecological and social issues, with a personal interest/ specialization in gender and LGBTQ+ issues.
